Taster Sessions

If you don't want to commit to a whole beginners' course, you can come along to one of our regular "Have a Go" events at fêtes and other locations in and around Droitwich.

On Saturday 18th May, we held an Open Day to celebrate receipt of a grant from Sport England that has enabled us to purchase our ground at Six Gold End.

The Open Day was part of Archery GB's 'Big Weekend' and we had all sorts of archery games and an opportunity to try archery, with a competition to win a free beginners course and taster session places.

At our usual 'Have a Go' events, for a small contribution you can have a few shots at a target under instruction.  We find these events are extremely popular, and many people come back several times throughout the day.  We also get a lot of interest in our regular beginners' courses, as we have flyers available at the event, and there are always club members around who can answer any questions you may have about the club, the sport and its history.

We also run longer taster sessions at our own shooting ground near Hanbury. These give you a proper introduction to archery and you will need to book a space beforehand.  Please fill out an application form for one of our taster events.
